The WCFN will celebrate its 3^rd Annual Excellence Awards, held in conjunction with the WCFN 11^th Annual Conference during the Trade Show reception at the Delta Edmonton South on Nov 3, 2009

 

The WCFN Excellence Awards recognizes achievement, excellence, leadership and significant contributions by individual, corporate or associate members as chosen by an adjudication committee in two categories: Industry Builder and Innovation. As well, the WCFN Board of Directors may award annually the Chair’s Award to a deserved candidate(s).

 

Finalists and winners will be recognized at the WCFN Excellence Awards Reception. Individual tickets to the awards reception can be purchased through the WFCN. Contact the WCFN website for nomination forms and support documentation. Nomination deadline is Oct 2, 2009.

 

WCFN Industry Builder Award

The WCFN Industry Builder Award recognizes the efforts of a WCFN individual or corporate member who has significantly contributed to the continued development of Functional Food & Natural Health Product sector as a recognized and respected industry in Western Canada through either policy development, corporate initiatives, industry advisory or advocacy efforts.

WCFN Innovation Award

 The WCFN Innovation Award recognizes the demonstrated success or leadership of an outstanding WCFN individual or corporate member for innovation in either research & development or implementation of new technology or value-added products or service.

WCFN Chair’s Award

The WCFN Chair’s Award recognizes the significant contributions to the WCFN or outstanding achievements of an individual/organization within the Functional Food & Natural Health Product Sector in Western Canada. The Chair’s Award is submitted and ratified by the WCFN Board of Directors.

 

The Chair's Award is discussed and adjudicated solely by the WCFN Board of Directors on an annual basis, but does not have to present award each year if an appropriate candidate has not been identified. There is no formal nomination process for this award by the membership, but if a member believes an individual/organization should be formaly recognized for their achievement or involvment in the Functional Food and Natural Health Product sector, please contact a member of the Board of Directors and provide your suggestions and coporative information to support the consideration.
